In May 2023 the team travelled to Barcelona to take part in the 4th International Dragon Boat Festival. It was our third visit to this festival, which is held on the Olympic canal that was built for the 1992 Olympics.

We entered two boats into the event, and competed against a number of other breast cancer survivor teams from other countries. We also held a very moving flower ceremony with the other teams, to remember those that have lost their lives to breast cancer, or who are coping with this cruel disease.

We had some success but we know that we will have to train and improve on our racing times if we are to compete against other teams from around the world.

Overall we had a great time, and hope to be back at future festivals here.
