This morning was all about getting our two boats back safely and inspecting any damage.
We just wanted to say a big thank you to a number of organisations and people who helped us do this over the last two days.
They are
National Coastwatch Institution ,Hengistbury Head and the Marine Volunteer Service, for searching the harbour area and helping to retrieve our boat today .
Christchurch Sailing Club, who agreed to lend us one of their launches and Sally an RYA instructor from there who carried out the rescue of another boat and towed it back for us
Hengistbury Head Adult Sailors
An unnamed man who we know helped to drag our 10 man boat to safety onto a sandier part of the beach at Mudeford spit away from the rocks.
Truly a community effort for which we are very grateful.
We have now tied up our boats and will be reviewing how we can prevent this from happening again.
